Happy 37 Weeks!

Let me start by saying thank you so much for all the support, comments and prayers you all have given us! Gene and I are overwhelmed with all the love and encouragement that we have received while on this crazy and unpredictable journey! The stories and support of those who have been down this road before us have not only meant so much to Gene and I, but also to our family and friends who are walking this road with us!

I've had a few days to adjust to the latest news and so much of it is up in the air anyway, so I thought I'd post something happy! Andrew has made it to 37 weeks! This is a huge milestone for us considering all the preterm labor issues and contractions! He passed the NST today with flying colors and no signs of hydrops! We have the majority of the nursery decorated. We are still waiting on the glider to come in and will be getting the majority of necessary baby care items once he no longer has a breathing tube and we know more what his needs will be. I love going in his room and looking at everything- it really gives me hope that we will be bringing him home in a couple of months and everything will work out okay!

Thought we would post a couple of pictures of the nursery and let my family see just how big my belly really is now! :) Lucy is getting ready for Andrew to come home as well- I have a feeling it will be hard to separate the two of them! Hope you all have a great week!

  1. Becky you look great! I hope your belly is not too uncomfortable. I had to wear a belly belt for support. Andrew's room is beautiful. You guys did such a fantastic job. You can see all the hard work and love you have put into it. Lucy is so cute waiting in her little brothers room. She is going to make a great little helper for you. You are in our prayers.

  4. You look great! I love the room and the border looks great. Sweet Lucy waiting in the room is priceless. I think our Lucy thought we were decorating a room for HER! Boy was she disappointed. :)

Congrats on this huge milestone! Now you can at least stop worrying about him coming too early. I hope he stays in there 2 more weeks, though.

  6. Congratulations! Now that is a milestone! Hang in there! Not long now. I was thinking about ur last post. He may not have anything else other than the isolated CDH so try to remain positive cause you just dont know whats going to happen or his real diagnosis until he arrives. Hope the delievery goes well.

  8. Congratulations!!!!!! You all (including Lucy) look great. Uncle Ken says that grandpa would tell you to "keep the Faith and think positive" we are all praying for you all of you. Uncle Johnny was taken to the ER yesterday and the first thing he asked me when I got there is how is Becky and the baby. He asked me at one point "can you pray for an unborn baby?" I replied of course you can so he asked "What is the baby's name" I replied "Andrew" and he said ok then Andrew is on my list. That makes three of them now. Becky Gene and Andrew. We all love you very much!!!!

  9. You, the nursery, Lucy (and of course Gene) look terrific! You have done a great job at home, and a great job keeping Andrew inside for 37 weeks. Day-by-day, it won't be much longer now! You are in my thoughts, please let me know if there is anything I can do.
