SURGEON CALL....
Our son (Andrew) was diagnosed with a left sided congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) during our routine 17 week fetal ultrasound. The defect involves a hole in the diaphragm that allows the abdominal contents to reside in the chest, not leaving room for Andrew's lungs to develop properly. Shortly after birth he was also diagnosed with severe coarctation of the aorta. Andrew's long battle with CDH was cut short by a small bowel obstruction that they were unable to repair on October 30th, 2009.

What a cutie pie! I fall in love with him all over again every time I see his picture. I believe it is a true miracle that God has brought Andrew this far. I can't wait to see what else He is going to do for our boy. We are praying and have faith that God will put him in good hands tomorrow, that the surgery will be a success, and that his recovery will go well. Give Andrew a hug and kiss from us! Lots of love!
